Why Knowing Freestyle Skateboard Tricks Is Important?

If you want to know the cool moves you could do on snowboarding gear, this blog is perfect for you. No, seriously, skateboard tricks could fill an entire encyclopedia, not to mention you can find hints, tips, and tactics on YouTube.

1. Rail stand

Begin with your tail down and both feet on the tail, toes pointing towards the nose and heels touching the ground. Take your back foot and place the sole against the side of the board near the back wheels. Push the board with your back foot to cause it to flip onto its side (like a primo). Once the board has been pushed over, you will step up and balance on it with your feet on the wheels. Bend your knees and lower your centre of gravity to maintain your balance. Stay loose and relaxed, and avoid locking up and losing your balance.

2.Walk the dog

Position your front foot in the centre of the board, toes pointing straight toward the nose. Now, step around your front foot with your back foot on the nose, toes pointing to the right if you're goofy, or to the left if you're regular. Then, pivot backside on the ball of your back foot to rotate the board 180 degrees. From here, step around your front foot again, bringing your back foot forward to the nose and pivoting backside. Repeat this motion several times to "Walk the Dog."

3.Switch blade style

This trick combines a shove-it and a pivot. Place your front foot on the front bolts, toes pointing toward the nose. Then, using your ankle, push down on the nose of the board and pivot it 180 degrees behind you, keeping the nose pinned down the entire time. With your front foot firmly planted on the board, switch your feet so that your back foot replaces your front foot and your front foot returns to the centre of the board. A small hop should be enough of a jump to get your feet back into a rolling position. As you get the hang of this trick, it will begin to work for you.

4. Tail stop finger flip

This trick can be flipped in two ways: as a kickflip or as a heelflip. Begin with your tail down and both feet on the tail, heels on the ground and toes pointing toward the nose. Grab the nose of the board with your right hand if you're goofy, or your left hand if you're regular. Keep your thumb in the middle of the nose, pressed down on the griptape, to assist you in pushing the board and flipping it with your hand. Flip the board with your thumb and fingers and jump with it as it flips so you can land the trick with your feet on the grip tape.

5.Smoothies

A smoothie is essentially a one-footed backside nollie pivot. It's known as a one-footed "end over" in freestyle. After the first pivot, you would pivot again, but this time with two feet, as in an end over. To perform the one-footed pivot off the nose, place your front foot on the bolts and turn your front foot in, pointing your toes toward the tail.

Hope you found the blog useful to try new cool styles on old school skateboards.
